Guangzhou Lube Oil Test Training – March 2025
At the invitation of the China Association for Quality Inspection (CAQI) and in partnership with the Tianjin Lubricants Industry Association, our company hosted the “Advanced Lube Oil Test Technician Training” in Guangzhou from 10–14 March 2025.
Forty laboratory professionals from lubricant manufacturers across Guangdong and neighbouring provinces completed the five-day intensive programme.
Under the continuous supervision of CAQI’s authorised representative, thirty-six trainees passed the final closed-book written examination and practical assessment, earning CAQI’s Lube Oil Test Technician competency certificate.
The course was built on the 150 000-character textbook first released in Tianjin, guaranteeing every lube oil test participant access to the same industry-leading knowledge base.
Theory modules covered:
Instrument safety and laboratory management
Fundamentals of lubrication chemistry
Step-by-step interpretation of QC standard test methods
Analyser principles and operating procedures
Critical control points during a lube oil test
Real-world case studies for generating accurate, repeatable lube oil test data

Instructors demonstrated calibration, testing sequences, result evaluation and troubleshooting, then provided one-on-one coaching while each lube oil test candidate duplicated the procedure. Immediate feedback eliminated sub-optimal habits and ensured every lube oil test run met the repeatability limits quoted in the relevant ASTM methods.
Participants left with sharper skills, deeper instrument insight and proven techniques for controlling lube oil test precision. CAQI again praised the programme, and we remain committed to expanding future lube oil test training offerings in line with industry feedback.
